Have to agree here. Fed hasn't exactly been great this WTF except for the Nadal match. Maybe he was conserving energy in the Fish and Ferrer matches but then maybe he wasn't. It will be difficult to summon his A game from the get go today going by those matches. It would be a nice win for Fed if he takes this but I'm afraid if he plays like his last two matches and Tsonga's game is on, Tsonga takes this in 2 or maybe 3.

It's fascinating (as always) reading some negative comments about Federer's SF form. He was playing someone who doesn't have a hope of upsetting him. Do you seriously believe Roger was playing at 75% EVEN!?! Tonight will be a whole different ball game, and Fed definately has proven he steps up a few gears at the right time.

Funny how this never applies to people betting on Djoker and Fed drawing each other at slams :)

the fact that they are playing each other for the third time in a such a short span is making me uneasy. federer better out-think tsonga otherwise this could be over in 2 tight sets.

Don't you think Ferrer played the first set better than Berdy did. I thought Ferrer really fought tooth and nail, first set.

The second semi was too late, i was sleepy thru it (started 2am) and i only "saw" the first set. So can't exactly compare.

^^^ Maybe yes. Either Fed was lackadaisical knowing that Ferrer couldn't hurt him no matter what or maybe it was a case of nerves to begin with. If it is the latter, I don't know if he can bring his A game at will today. He seemed to play better once he was up a set which could either be because he turned it up a notch consciously or was more relaxed after winning a set.
Also like a poster said earlier, the pressure is on Fed going for his 6th WTF and he can get tight because of that. He had tough losses when he was going for his 6th Wimbledon and 6th USO.

Tsonga has a great chance if he believes in himself and does not let up. Roger usually only needs just an opportunity or two of tightness from his opponents (those he wins against normally) to take a match.

But I doubt it. Roger has some records on the line. He's not going to take this easy. It could very well be a 2 set rout by Federer.

Methinks Fed will come out with guns blazing, have his usual second set blip but then reel it in the third set.

Roger needs to mix it up here, I think he knows the strategy, can he execute?

Uh oh Tsonga changed up his warm up to what it was when he beat Nadal. Could be trouble.

I think both are playing very carefully, Fed is taking 10-15 % power off his shots, same with Tsonga.

What a serve! If Tsonga doesn't leave any ball hanging, he'll be in good shape.

That's how Federer lost Wimbledon to Tsonga! He needs to stay aggressive to win.

Just tuned in, who's the Umpire? It sounds like the match is being officiated by The Mysterons.

This seems to be the way Tsonga has played most of these matches. We'll see how it goes.

Fed just squeaking through his service games. He must've only won 1 or 2 points on Tsonga's serve so far

****ing Tsonga. Waste a challenge on a clear call, then proceed to challenge to stay in the next, only to get aced for the hold.

Hmm Fed could be in trouble if he keeps having touch service games.

Fed is not winning the battle from the baseline too. Hardly put a dent on Tsonga's serve.

No breaks of serve yet, so even chances for both.
