He normally uses Wilson Pro, he just has black finishing tape, instead of the usual white...

He needs to switch to the Babolat VS grip if he wants to stand any chance of beating Nadal. Its the only way he could do it

I'm having trouble guessing if 1 one of the posts made so far is serious.

I like how people take a thread like this seriously, 10 people are actually debating whether federer uses an overgrip or not. This sounds like an onion thread made to poke fun of the absurdity of how some people take is he using this or that too seriously, but for 10 other posters apparently this isn't ridiculous enough. How about this, is federer using stock shoe laces? Man, the more and more I feel like this forum is dominated by 15 year old kids.

This is a photo from Priority One, the people who customise and maintain Federer's racquets.

In the box on the right you will see the huge stacks of white overgrips with Wilson bands around them.

Shall we end this thread here or are people going to start saying Wilson gets piles of tourna/gamma or whatever gips, unboxes them, rewraps them, puts Wilson bands around them and then sends to Fed's racquet people so they don't know that he really uses another grip?*
    [IMG]

*which would be pointless really considering they already know he doesn't even use the racquet he looks like he's using

Oh and considering that p1 only go to 1000 events and masters, fed probably had to wrap his own grips for a while.

When Fed wrapped his own overgrips as a junior he would overlap them like crazy and they would only go halfway up the grip. Kind of like Corretja.

my thought exactly,he was probably stringing his rackets with official stringer of tournament and they gripped his rackets and put pro overgrip wilson finishing tape.in 2010 doha tournament he was also having white wilson finishing tape.p1 puts black finishing tape on most of their clients rackets.(they did not put on safin because he was gripping his rackets by himself, and they put red finishing tape on isner racket because of his contract with tourna)
