Federer: Worthy Rival vs Domination

    that's tough! i want him to have a serious rival but that will make it very difficult for him to break the records like winning more than 14 slams.:D

    Competition is what makes sports so interesting. Obviously Federer really stands out from the crowd right now, even at a time when he's not even currently one-hundred percent physically. I think though we'll see more worthy opponents come forth. These young guns have no fear. Once they become more mature and consistent, I think you'll see more parity. I think Federer was tested in a watered-down field. Once some of the "big dogs" come back...it'll certainly get tougher. Nadal is definitely a contender as is Safin, Gasquet, and now Baghdatis. In addition, there are players such as Monfils, Djokovic, Wawrinka...who are all on the brink.
