Federer tried. He played worse! Case closed!

Oh, and please show me where I ever said NO ONE can improve with a more modern spec. I've ONLY ever discussed Federer! And the reason is because he's used the 90 for over 10 years and used the 85 for 10 years before that! A 98 is something that's completely foreign to him.

Please show me where I said that Nadal would improve if he switched to a 90 or 85 or where I said that an 80 year-old wouldn't improve switching to a granny stick. I'm waiting.

Fed tried 2 weeks at a clay court tourney to prepare for the hard court season...I like Rog, but that's.... well...as idiotic as most of your post. CASE CLOSED!

Oh, and if you can't admit that you maniacally champion small headed sticks and 1hbh's as the best choice then your delusional...nuff said...I think the tons of post from people calling you nuts is sufficient for me, thanks. SO ****ed at myself arguing with you again...damn I gotta stop reading your crap!

Um...no. He played with that 98 for a month and a half, from the end of June to mid-August. He was still practicing with the 98 at the Cincy Masters, which is in mid-Aug. But once match time came, he was smart enough to switch back to his trusty old 90.

For people who actually know how to play tennis. For people who don't (like you), should stick to big-headed racquets and 2HBHs. It's much easier not to miss the ball.

And come on, the measurable difference between the 90 and a 98 on the edges of the head is like an inch. Just because you have an extra inch or so by the edges to play with, it's still a shank.

I'm 4.5 moron, and although I've stated to you...TONS OF TIMES...that I quite often use a 90 or less square inch head? I'd smoke you with a 2 hander, but then just for kicks I'd beat you with a one hander, because yeah...I CAN DO BOTH!!! I think the 1 hander looks feminine though...so I like to stick to my rocket 2 hander down the line...oh, and BTW...both feel COMPLETELY NATURAL...sorry you can't hit a 2 hander...must not be that athletic!

Now I'm going to heed the advice of sensible people on this board and stop reading your crap (including your nonsensical comeback to this one) and leave you alone...toodles!

Breakpoint is dumb. I can guarantee he is one of those guys thats know everything about tennis but can barely play.

When fed had the 98 he also had a bad back not enough time for him to play with a stick and really understand what it can bring. The 90 is his old trusty racquet so i dont think anyone would enter the US Open with a racquet he played for 3 weeks.
I dont think 1 hbh is a problem the problem is the head size 90sq is just not suitable for really anyone anymore. the game is too fast and too much spin to hone that small head.

If you could play like Federer with a 90, you would not be using anything bigger EVER. And if you can hit a 1HBH like Gasquet, you would not be using a 2HBH EVER! So it's obvious you don't play as well with a 90 as you do with a bigger racquet or else you'd be using the 90 ALL THE TIME. And it's obvious that you don't hit a 1HBH as well as you do a 2HBH or else you'd hit a 1HBH ALL THE TIME!

Oh, and a 4.5 where you are is not at the same level as a 4.5 in California. Sorry to break the news to you. And not all 4.5s know how to hit the ball. Some just win a lot by using big powerful racquets and blocking everything back to drive you crazy or they crowd the net on every point.

Federer has had a bad back throughout his entire career. Certainly didn't prevent him from winning 17 Slams using his "unsuitable" 90, did it?

BTW, just because YOU are unable to play with a 90 against pace and spin does not mean that no one can. You do realize that there are millions of tennis players who are better than you, right?

Quick newsflash. Kind of a welcome to TT thing :

If you put BP on ignore, your life here will be far better. It is a new trend that is slowly sweeping across these forums. Soon he will be chatting with himself.

    Not to validate BP, but....

How on earth is hitting a 2 hander more athletic than a one?! Using 2 arms to produce a shot takes far less shoulder strength, flexibility etc than using 1.

In my opinion, the 2 handed backhand is more athletic than the one, solely because it incorporates more of the body (both arms are involved, and the torso is rotated...)

BP talks a whole lot of trash for someone that hasn't ever posted a video of himself playing... The self-appointed midsize martyr himself needs to put up or shut up.

Until I see otherwise I'm confident I could take him to town with a 104.

The 2HBH certainly takes more out of you physically to hit repeatedly than the 1HBH. So if you're not in the best shape and don't have the stamina, it's not a wise choice.

The 1HBH, on the other hand, takes better timing and better eye-hand and bodily coordination, but you can hit it all day long without getting tired.

This is just a mock conclusion from yet another bizarre statement from BP.

If you look back at this idiots post you'll find at one point him describing having to "twist" and contort his arms at unnatural positions to hit a 2-hander, and shunning it....yet I find it extremely easy and natural, as do 90% of both amateurs and Pros...therefore I just assumed he is not a natural athlete...

I further frustrate him by simply liking the 2...even though I've annoyingly reminded him I CAN hit a 1! He can't even fathom someone who can hit a 1HBH liking the 2HBH...so I assume he is "owned" by his lack of skill to execute one, so he lashes out at those who can! But I digress....DON'T go back and read his stuff...it'll rot your brain.

I like the 2014 design when I see the racquet from a distance. But when I see close-up shots, it's a different story. I don't think the ruler scale on 3/9 o'clock of the frame makes sense to people, and those gold stripes don't look good at all. I'd prefer to have just plain white with some light lettering on it. I hope Wilson considering adjust cosmetics later.

Can someone Photoshop a fully 'red' frame from tip to the top of the handle with only the branding and text in gold or white? Sick of white on any racket. It yellows with age and exposure.

Yeah, ppl find it easy to forget it when You are right - they just label you & move on to what they think is valid argument. I never see ppl coming back & saying - You know what BP or lar - You were right , Fed is far better off w/a small-head-sized racquet , No Sir, we can have none of that it's TT we are talking about.

This has a 'heritage' look for a reason as RF is on his way out and it's likely to be the last 90 racquet he'll ever use. It will grow on you. Plus the photo doesn't do it justice.

    {Disclaimer: I don't work for or play with a Wilson!}

Of course it'll grow on you. It's a Pro Staff: it's below 95 sq inch, with a thin box beam. Anything small and box beam will grow on you.

Just that, the first impression is  :-?

Wouldn't be surprised if Wilson used the "After" paint job exclusively for Federer. Looks MUCH better than the tacky gold stripes.

I agree Wilson made a blunder of the paint job of this racquet. It is really ugly. Nike is not doing much better in that regard, I guess. The best of Nike Federer lines were in 2011 and 2012. Most of 2013 and 2014 designs are not that attractive. Maybe that's what's causing the downfall of the great RF?

I still think the 2012 version is way uglier, probably the ugliest racquet out there.
This one is better, but still extremely gross. Wilson needs to fire they're cosmetics team ASAP!
