The day Federer shows up on the board saying how Federer needs a bigger racquet will be the greatest day of my life.

=] I picked the posting on TW Boards, but if I had two choices, I'd also pick him being a commentator for women's matches. Once that happens, maybe women's tennis could get more attention and the players would try to improve more and more with all the motivation.

Federer can make a full time job out of just answering questions on this board on what racquet he "really" uses. ;) LOL

I agree if Federer wants to remain at the top of his game especially if he wants to play until he is 35, he is going to have to switch to a larger headsize.

I voted for the commentator choice and I was about to say that Sampras never switched his racquets and he never even had a PJ of a different racquet...But then again, I'd like to say that Sampras had more muscle and thus, was able to hit so powerfully with such a small racquet, in comparison to all of the other pros that had larger racquet-head sizes.

Come next year, no one will care. It will all be about Nalbandian's real Yonex.

Next year, Fed will give Nalby a worse thrashing than the one he gave Canas. say.. a double bagel. Yeah, that sounds about right.

just kidding, Fed probably won't even meet Nalby. nalby will probably get injured again and will lose his newfound mental edge.

still, if they meet, I'll be rooting for Fed.

Lets see, considering he has won over $36 million in officail prize money, at least double that or more in appearnace fees, exos, and endorsements I'd venture to say that he'll be doing none of the above. He'll focus on his charity work.

I think he will open his own business, because he already has his nike RF line and a lot of people would buy his clothes and his racquets because they want to be the next Federer.

I think his demise as a tennis player could easily lead to his complete disintegration as a person. Once he’s off the tour, he may just realise what guys like Safin knew all along – that life is not about tournament results, not about career. Given an interlude for reflection, will he be able to face the fact that there is not a single person in this world that likes him for anything but his fame and money, besides his parents? Or will he get into hard drugs in order to avoid dealing with reality? Only time will tell…

However I believe that once he studies SoBad's scientific study, he'll create the greatest shot in the history of the metrosexualverse -- the Versace Backhand -- and come back to tennis to finally defeat Nadal at the French. Then he'll retire and become Mirka's wife.

I honestly see Fed more developing a Prada backhand, to go with the man purse, and I agree with everything you said after that...

I am a fedfan but still I must say that like any player he might want to consider retiring once he just does not seem to be inspired about the game anymore. Year ago or so (maybe even in the beginning of 2007) he really seemed to step to next level when opponent was really threatening him but lately he has seemed to be a bit lucky with the wins over Djoko (USO) and Nadal (Wimby) and lately he has given up some games surprisingly. He just seems to be so bored on the court,

You two handed back hand players-yeah, YOU-you look like a monkey having sex with an elephant! :), You should be so good as Fed. Samras, Fed, Becker, Laver, Gonzales-a long line of champions playing the backhand the way truth and beauty dictate. ;)

    Just kidding of course.

No retirement for the Fed Express. He's probably worn out after another long season. Give these guys a break. A body needs rest.

Time will tell that he married Mirka, had kids, invested his money wisely, made more money by exhibitions, coaching and commentating, and be happier and richer than anyone else on this board.
