I love the new Fed crew! I'm not a fan of collared shirts for play so it's nice for me to think about adding one to the wardrobe. The contrasting collar panels are, dare I say it, Yonex-ian. I've heard Mirka took him away from the scoop-neck crew so I wonder if the V-neck is a concession to her tastes.
Please respond with your favorite Fed looks over the last decade. You can also chime in with your least favored (i.e. The fishnet flank vents with alternating opaque/transparent areas... Gag me !)
My top shirt for play was the Shanghai WTF white crew with gold trim and black venting. It still plays very cool even here in FL!

I loved that WTF 2005 Shirt with the gold-trimming. Best shirt fed has worn ever in my opinion. Nike need to release a similar tee to that. Loving Fed's crew in Miami too =)

    Photo or description por favor

Fed's '05 AO was classic but when I wear the black/grey version of it in any kinda heat it's not a cool wear. I also like the '09 AO color, in fact all of '09 featured awesome colors! Any thoughts on the vented-back crews of Wimby/USO ('06?:eek:range trim Wimby, blue/white trim USO)?

Fed and Agassi/Hewitts zip necks and crews from the mid 2000s are the best. Solid colors with maybe one stripe and a silkscreen swoosh. I think it was the sphere collection.
His new stuff is too nancy and the rafa stuff fits like a suffocating velvet tube sock.

I go for the berdych stuff these days: challenger chevron polo I think its called. Fed wore a blue one one day with Stan at IW.

The word is "Tasteful"; understated elegance, like the classic Navy Blue suit, crisp white shirt, and elegant tie......

Fine threads for a fine game!

Love the fine pinstripe in peach that is magnified in power by the matching headbandana. Like using an ultra-fine pinstripe in a charcoal worsted suit to set off a French bleu shirt and crimson paisley tie. Repetition and contrast. Forehand crosscourt, forehand crosscourt, forehand approach up the line, backhand volley down the line, punch or drop!

From GHOAT envy to GShirtOAT envy

I was curious where you located shirt in stock as T-W lists only the shorts (not a slouch item on the style-o-meter). Yes, dressing for success is much like tennis strategizing...pick from your wardrobe (your shot arsenal) what works best in your current situation. Ladies always fall back on the classic black dress, men should have their favorite suit to help close the deal and on match point, nothing beats a high kicker out wide followed by the classic forehand volley crosscourt to a wide open deuce court.

April Fool's; mark on your calendar

A usually reliable source told me the general release date for the GShirtOAT is Friday, April 1. If so, I may tickle the ivories of my iPhone and request a 2-day delivery of the whole outfit...not a bandana guy normally but may make the exception to highlight the pinstripe. Otherwise I pray for the wristbands to be in stock. BTW, beware the wrath of Zebraman...he is monitoring this and the GHOAT thread and he's not a happy camper. I know the frustration of ill-fitting shoes and apparel can often lead to general crankiness and antisocial tendencies. Andy Murray is the first exhibit in defense of my argument.

The shirt and shorts are up on N.com available right now. I got the shirt and some cheap shorts on clearance since I sprung for full price on the shirt......the cheap shorts will look the same IMO. Dark Nike shorts are dark Nike shorts, ya know what I mean?

    IMHumbleO THE Best Moment!

A fine shirt but humbled by the occasion it was worn for. Notice the weather gods held off the deluge until after championship point was completed. That was an endorsement of the magnitude of the Career Slam fulfillment. Robin's egg blue IS sharp!

Yes, the GShirtOAT is available today throughout the land (also in blue) but alas no bands nor bandanas. Will keep you posted if reliable source locates them Colonel Carl!

    Purple planned for FO

Several weeks ago they posted a lineup of shirts RF was to wear on his Twitter site (FedererNews). The plan was for a purple v-neck crew for the FO. The current crew was for early Euro clay season. I guess plans changed. They've pulled the Twitter posts too. The only polo in the Twitter pix was a deep red to be worn in Miami (night matches) but that didn't happen either. My Nike guy said the website photo of the blue crew is true Concord blue and not purplish.

thanks for the reply! I only asked because earlier I saw a pic of the concord cotton RF shirt on TWE and it was definitely more of a purple shade :

I have so much blue stuff already, not sure if I will pick one up now..

I wonder how quickly these shirts will disappear. Fed's Miami and early clay season henley tops (orange and white) left the web soon after their release and really haven't been heard from again. Anywhere.

Just curious, because I really want the one Fed wore in Miami, but am hesitant to spend the $70....

    Cheers!

I really don't know what to think about it. I'm not a huge fan of Fed in V-Necks, and the orange against the light lavender doesn't work. Just my two cents. Can someone post what he will be wearing for the clay court season?

    Concord blue V-neck

Same style w/Concord blue as major color is 1st up. His line-up changed after FedererNews Twitter posting in March. The Miami shirt was planned for early Euro clay, so all bets off after the Concord V.

It's not light lavender; the body of the shirt is grey, and it looks SPECTACULAR in person. When I get my Peach wristbands from my good man Bri-Guy, I will rock the shirt and wb's, hopefully for a match this weekend.

Karl Marx: Religion is the Opiate of the People

Carl, if we the GHOATherd got all that we wanted the outcome would be besottedness throughout the land. The Nike God dispenses in small parcels spread throughout the GHOATnation, thus keeping the cumulative appetite whetted for further dispensations. Right now, I have serious GWBOAT envy and will have to wait for arrival of matching Concord GSOAT and GWBOAT set to arrive next week. JD's MC sighting alert (or was that a dream?) of Concord GHOATs is saliva-inducing. Please Dr. Pavlov, let me have just one?

I usually do not go out and buy the full outfits of any current players, lest I be criticized as a [insert ATP player name here] fanboy or wannabe by "those TT authorities who pass judgment upon others", however I agree with the OP and others here: I like this Miami Federer outfit; the sage shorts go very well with the colors of the Trophy Tech Grey shirt, so much so that I've just placed my order with Nike, no matter how out-BLOODY-rageous the prices. :)

This outfit will rock on court and go well in the closet alongside my extensive collection of cut-rate Costco Adidas, Target Champion, Sears and Walmart odds and ends, and on-sale 2010 Yonex.

    Just a little off-color WB/Shirt match

Nike store had pro WBs w/victory red swoosh that will have to do as a close match for the peach pinstripe. Like the home-away concept for the bands. Will have perfect match on Concord shirt/WBs. Now pray Joel's vision of Concord GHOATs comes true. Would kill for Concord GHOAT! Be very nervous PKnight!
