Fed's slice is better today

The only aspect of the game in which Federer is better today than in his prime years is the backhand slice. I was watching his 2005 masters cup final against Nalbandian and i noticed Federer hitting a lot of pointless slices in the middle of the court without much depth. But when you look at his game today you can easily notice how his slice is much better against pretty much everybody. Also the slice return is pretty good. Anyone else agree ?

federer is a better player today. Other players have improved and can beat him also.

No, he isn't. His forehand and backhand are much worse, his stroke consistency is crap today, his movement is lacking, he's slower, and his return of serve has gotten worse. I'm amazed that he's still #1 and winning slams with his current game. Just shows how good he was in the first place.
The only thing he improved IMO is the serve.

ansolutely 100 percent correct ! its his return of serve and his fh i think that are the biggset liabilities to his game these days....did you see his fh return of serve against hewitt:shock:absolutely terrible

for some un-bias fans absolutely no 'facts or figures' are needed at all....simply look at his game compared to 2 or 3 years ago and you will notice some huge differences....i guess the facts are out there though....look at how many ues he is making these days compared to winners compared to 2-3 years ago. much much better a few years ago and if you cant see that you must be blind
