Searched and didn't see a thread:

Anyone else download Firefox 4? It is fast and the layout is improved (with a few minor gripes). But it seems to 'drop' - I'll be surfing and select a new page from my bookmark list - it says 'Waiting for...' then stops and shows a blank page. If I disconnect and reconnect then it's ok. But I have IE up - it was still able to access the requested page without the disconnect/reconnect.

Been using it since Friday. No doubt it looks prettier, but I'm getting serious issues when streaming video and surfing YouTube.

Excellent Update. The speed is just unbelievable. It's the best browser by a LONG LONG shot!

I put it on my netbook (Windows 7) - no problems. So must be my laptop and the wonderful Vista OS (rolls eyes)...

In front of my computer, obviously
I'm having so many problems with Firefox 3.6.16 or whatever it is, the stupid plugin-container.exe crashes regularly. I'm tempted to switch over to Google Chrome since I'm still using Windows XP. If I have to, I will go back to IE8. I'll wait on Firefox 4 until I hear more about all the glitches, especially on my two dinosaur computers. :)

i tried chrome out once or twice, but not impressed. I use FF 3.6. Not yet downloaded 4. I usually wait a few days to see if there are any meme leaks and sec issues.

I use Safari a bit too, for youtube usually.

Anyone use it on a Mac?

Just wondering how the performance is considering it's the first official release, also does it carry over the bookmarks and saved passwords etc..?

It's working just fine for me.

What I'm still not used to is clicking "Open in New Tab" because this time it's the first thing, not the second.

Yeah, everything is carried over. It's much better than FF3, feels a lot less bulky.

Flash player is crashing on me occasionally though.

I just downloaded it and so far, so good!

I watched a couple of NHL 11 videos on youtube and it's holding up ok.

    Thanks for the reassurances.

I use Google Chrome & Firefox 4. My only dislike is that you can't copy/paste into emails and keep formatting. For example, if I want to paste a few cells from a spreadsheet into an email, all formatting is lost. Does anyone know if there is any way around this?

FF 4 is a nice improvement but I still prefer Opera for daily use.

The seamless sync with Opera Mobile is killer imo then add in key shortcuts, mouse gestures with a light memory load and has always been fast has hell it's hard to go back to FF for daily use personally, but I'd still take FF over IE any day.
