Given that firewire is a pretty unique string on the market ive not seen that much about different gauges in terms of spin generation and longevity. Seems people pick a gauge and stick to it in this one?

What have people gravitated toward and why?

Looking to start a stringing business so going to have a few of these ones to sell. Most peope probably dont care about gauge when they are just playing casual so I can advise them if one is much better and I decide to go for it I hope.

Also I have been trying to figure out what to buy as a cross for this, given it is inconsistent in a full bed. I dont want to buy boost sets as wont be able to buy the cross in a reel later if I use this one frequently.

Currently I am thinking (thanks to some help already)

Head hawk
RS Lyon
Max Power
Poly Tour Pro

I am planning on stocking the last three options regularly. Never used head strings before, hard to find in Australia.

Have a max power rough and lyon set to try next in my angell. PTP in another racquet.

The process should be wrapped around working will your clients and finding the best playing options for their game(level), their frame and body.
I would not pre stock anything copoly related, until you get a good feel and feed back from your client base.
To start, a little smart variety of copoly sets.
You also have not even mentioned snyc gut, multis or nat. gut. Are pushing copolys only and why?
Nor have you even touched on the wide open great world of hybridizing strings.
Working directly will each one of the new client, listening, advising, understanding and educating is key.
Equipment discussions (and experience) can be also be hugely beneficial.
i.e ..I come to you. I have a head TI light weight frame. I am a intermediate player, flat ball hitter, I ask for some new strings. What do you do, or suggest.
Oh I have had my TI for 4 yrs now. Do you think he needs new grommets.
Ask questions. If you are going to do it, do it right and do your homework...
Learn about strings...and more...there and some great resources out there..
It is not just about selling strings and stringing...it is combo of an art, science layered with experience..and fun...
Details, Quality, Developing a rapport and more...
Consider either working with someone established as an apprentice or check into a usrsa or ersa courses or resources...

Thanks man, looking to prestock the PTP as its the most common thing I see in the area and its cheap from overseas compared to here. Probably going to use it a bit here. All other strings will be in sets rather than reels except for a standard syn gut. It seems like OGSM has increased in price a lot so not as beneficial as before, so was looking toward tecnifibre syngut. Much easier to look for these compared to specific gauges of what to buy and already know to buy a reel of these ones. People in Australia have such limited options that I am looking to bring in some european mainstream strings that cover a number of bases so that I can advise. These are hopefully all solid strings for hybriding as well. Thats why was looking at YPTP, firewire, MP, lyon and probably a safe string like cyclone.

The issue is that I am purchasing from the UK as I live in Australia. I save a ridiculous amount of money compared to buying locally that it actually makes me sad. Luxilon strings are 1/2 the price, yonex 1/3 and others generally about 40-60% of the cost compared to locally. Local shops get to ream the local players with prices and turnaround times. Dont have the option of just purchasing local per job or I would be not very competitive.

I will probably be stocking klip gut or VS gut in limited supply, people here are offput by the cost of having it done locally. A set of VS Gut is $80, luxilon $90. I usually hybrid with gut so will have it on hand. Also will be grabbing a standard multi, are people not that worried about which multi? as long as it doesnt break in 1 hour (if used in hybrid).
