First slam match that Djokovic didn’t have a break point opportunity

It’s quite remarkable, really, how long he went (424 matches).

He has played only one other full slam match in which he did not break serve, and it was all the way back in 2006.

2017 Wimbledon vs. Berdych, 0/0 on break points (retired in 2nd set)
2020 USO vs. PCB, 0/4 (defaulted in 1st set)
2006 USO vs. Hewitt, 0/5 on break points

Non-slam matches in which he didn’t generate a break point

2024 United Cup vs. De Minaur
2017 Rome vs. Zverev
2017 IW vs. Kyrgios
2016 Olympics vs. Del Potro
2015 Cincinnati vs. Federer
2015 Doha vs. Ivo
2012 Cincinnat vs. Federer
2006 Hertogenbosch vs. Hernych

It was his 5th worst defeat in a Slam by dominance ratio (excluding retirements)

2005 AO vs. Safin, .37 dominance ratio (DR)
2006 USO vs. Hewitt, .54 DR
2007 AO vs. Fedr, .56 DR
2009 AO vs. Roddick, .58 DR (retired in 4th set)
2017 Wimbledon vs. Berdych, .62 DR (retired in 2nd set)
2007 RG vs. Nadal, .62 DR
2024 AO vs. Sinner, .64 DR
2020 RG vs. Nadal, .66 DR

It has been so difficult to defeat easily, probably the 2nd most difficult player ever to give a beating to.
