Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has used any fischer rackets that they would recommend to demo, because i have just recieved a fischer sponsorship and have never tried any fischer rackets, any suggestions please?

Thanks

Without a doubt you should demo the Fischer Pro No. 1 (the Kalefnikov model with the red and black cosmetics.)

I personally have the 320 version, which is great for b-line play and S & V and general touch stuff (as a b-liner/evolving all courter it def fits the bill.) I'd add you get a very agreeable power level (certainly enough pop on serve.) The spin's pretty good. The control is excellent. Plus it has (as others have long noted), a very classy and special feel to it - hard to put into words but it's firm/crisp and ever so slightly flexy (I know that sounds contradictory but it's true!) Furthermore, it isn't muted, but rather gives you good feedback and response. And I think the ceramic component and, is it something akin to fiberglass or something?... anyway, whatever the material compounds are, the Pro No. 1 has a very distinctive clear, clean and crisp sensation as regards feel.

BTW, the heavier 330 version has been described as 'a baseline scalpel' and comes also highly, highly recommended. I'd like to check it out myself TBH.

BTW, forgot to add one of its major assets (and, for me, selling points): it's got nice maneuverability, mobility and speed through the air. In other words, you don't get jammed up too often, and you find you can make those last second little wrist flicks or low scoopers or what have you.

Oh ok thanks is the m-pro good? The one baghdatis used?

Don't know this frame I'm afraid.

Actually, dunlop, as regards Fischers generally, 'nickb' is your man. Hopefully he'll chime in with some thoughts shortly... btw, you might also want to check out 'The Fischer Faction' (raquets section.)

Hey Dunlop Kid (might have to change your name soon? :)).

It depends what weight you like....fischer offer a few different sticks so if you could post what you are using now that would be useful. Most of the rackets fischer offer are flexible players rackets. They are known for amazing feel, great control and tight quality control meaning all your rackets will be identical.

The M Pro No1 is a great all court racket with some decent heft but with a very low SW (which is the key to the frame being so good IMO). Its very solid but swings light so is easy to get around and wont get to your arm in the 3rd set. Ball feel is amazing and the racket is just a great all round players stick.

The M Comp has a higher SW and overall weight than the M Pro No1 and is designed more for a baseline basher (but is still excellent at net). This racket really crushes the ball and is super stable. The flex rating reads very low but it plays stiffer than that and has good pop. Overall another great players stick but with a higher SW and some added weight.

Im not sure if you would be able to get the older red/black sticks from your sponsorhip but I like them better than both of the above. I would check out with fischer if they have any of these because they are simply amazing rackets. Again low SW but so solid and with great ball feel. A little stiffer than the M Speed with some added pop.

There are other sticks in the fischer line up like the lighter M Speed 98 and the M Tour 100 if you like a bigger headsize.

Hope that helps...
