Went looking for a nice 50" flat screen to watch my fav sport (tennis) and was really disappointed by the trails that followed the ball. Don't know much about the newer technologies, but every flat panel we watched did the same. My 36 JVC normal TV was easier to watch. Any input or suggestions would be nice.

I'm in no way an expert on the subject but I do have a few large screen lcd tvs. From what I understand, the more upscale models of newer tvs that come out will feature faster refresh rate, something measured in Hz (maybe mHz?) If you buy these higher speed tvs, then you won't see as much blurs and trails in sporting events.

Try plasma. Refresh rate is not an issue.
