I have now accumulated about 500 gig of mpeg files that are
tennis matches on TV. I now have about 1 Tera byte in total hard drive
but half of them got filled in about 6 months !

Now I have to make a decision on whether I want to keep these files
(archive away) or throw them away.

    Anybody in similar situation ?

Why don't you edit out the commercial breaks and catalogue them onto DVDs. Then you can send me a copy (yup of all of 'em) for giving you the idea. :)

    Chlsmo's got the right idea.

Either put them on 100+ dvds, or 9 blu ray discs! I'd go blu ray for sure.

Too bad a Blu-Ray burner will cost you $500+.

Yeah Blu-Ray would be sweet, but it is soooo expensive. I can't believe that you have that many matches recorded. That is really awesome. You could think about selling them on **** if you recorded them to dvd. :)

along with many others, i marvel at your massive 500GB size collection of tennis matches....

a blu-ray burner may cost you quite a sum of money but it would also save you lots of time (depending on write speed of the burner)

I was kind of assuming that the OP had a blu ray drive because having a tb is rather uncommon.

I'm only at 625gb storage space, 50 of that being matches and other tennis videos.

I deleted Fed vs. Safin Aus semi final match simply b/c I was running out of space on my laptop. I'm regretting it still to this day.
Buy another hdd. 400gig for $85
