Don't understand this post at all. Is there a former chip on your shoulder that I'm unaware of? If so, would you like some salsa for it?

Your ability to assume the best in others while improving yourself all the while is definitely one of your defining qualities as a person.

Like I said, will post a video as soon as I get one the I am at least somewhat pleased with. As an inspiring tennis coach, the skill of learning to analyze my own game without the help of others is an absolute must for me.

Arrogance, you say? Perhaps........ perhaps not.

    All the best,

    Matt

If I may rephrase a bit: Is there something in your past that is perhaps triggering your actions on these boards? If so, would you care to elaborate?

Just trying to help. I have no beef with you as a person.

Well the elbow thing is right if you are keeping it in the right context. I am not so sure what you are getting at with the front leg kicing forward though.

    Please explain.

say u are a good setup on the backswing. ready to uncoil. elbow on the same plane as your torso. maybe even slightly behind.

if you uncoil hard without any braking of the lower body, the elbow will continue to lag behind the body. at contact the racquet path is outside in. with the elbow not sliding forward, there is no extension.

u see in recreational players, swinging harder doesnt translate to more pace.

as expected, i am probably not explaining myself properly. But i m sure a few of you can see the issue i am going after.

backswing, follow through, double bend, windshield wiper etc etc. all irrelevant. the moment of impact matters the most. if u initiate your forwad swing properly, everything else is effortless, automactic.
