Been playing with it since and did not feel any difference.
looks like a crack. Better pictures would help.
I'm not sure, it looks almost looks too clean to be a crack.
go back to the shop, looks very strange...too strange for a chip and too strange for a crack
I've only seen one racquet snap from a mis-hit overhead. It was a 20 year old POG. It certainly shouldn't happen to a relatively new contemporary frame.
If it were me, and I didn't feel a difference, I would continue using it.
I think someone keyed your racquet.
It wasn't like that initially, this happened about 5-6 months ago. I purchased the racquet about over a year ago. Like I said, I completely framed a jump overhead while playing (easy ball came and I tried pulling a Sampras) and then it became like what you see in the photo. The reason I ask this now is because I'm replacing the grommets of this racquet and I became curious as to what people here thought. I also thought the crack/scratch was strange. I remember the day I framed the racquet was a chilly day, though I'm not sure how much that helps.
I'll try and get better photos.
lol i second this
ahh yes... the ol' "missed sampras slam on a chilly day w/ yonex crack"... i've seen 20 other racquets messed up from that exact same type of shot!
Would you classify my racquet as "messed up" or "just a scratch"
i would classify it as just a scratch
its jsut a scratch i have a scratch like that on my rds 001 mid also but mines at 12 o clock
Thanks guys, now I have some peace in my mind about this.
looks like a scratch by some metal stuff
dude I did that the other day
I saw a crack on the head
but I played with it again and the head came flying off.
maybe sent it back on warranty..
When i clicked on the image you have there, i got some strange messages, that for me looks like a computer virus.
Looks like a crack to me .
