Quite a good first round match-up. haven't checked schedule. Think this might be a night match? Would ESPN2 show it? If AA loses another 1st round match I think his chances at USO go to nothing. Too many early round exits.

At this point in Agassi's career I don't feel the smaller tournaments matter to him like they once did. 2004 could be his farewell season and these first round appearances might be his way of giving the local fans a last look at him before retirement. The early rounds of the USO will be a good indicator of how much desire Agassi still has for the slams.

Don't know too much about Fish but he does have a big serve doesn't he? Big servers have troubled Andre in the past.

Fish did well to beat Agassi earlier this year in the San Jose semis. what was his injury last week that kept him from playing Toronto? Fish isn't a great mover at full fitness, so if he's a step slow, I say Agassi has a very good chance to move past this match in a hurry. 'Course last year I would have predicted Agassi in straights no matter what ... still "wait and see" if he regains his old form consistently in 2004. Even with every other day off, I'm not sure he can win 7 matches at the US Open. Hopefully, he'll gain some confidence in Cincy.

Fish better get ready to be called a f@ggot again if he brings his old fist-pumping antics.

one thing is for sure.. Agassi may not be motivated for the smaller tournaments (if u can call TMS ones small) but I'll bet he's up for this match after Fish's antics at San Jose this year when he beat Agassi.

He lost the 2nd set, and than down 2 breaks in the 3rd.. He felt he couldn't win it so ended it quick rather than see the eventuality of the result; he was going to lose the 3rd set no matter what...

Not a bad match until the 3rd set. Fish has been doing really lousy at the last couple of tournaments. His ranking will go down.
