That's pretty funny. Whoever writes those Sports Center commercials the past few years is doing a pretty good job.

Roger is a great tennis player, but his acting is terrible. My advice is, don't give up your day job.

actually i think the fact that the athletes aren't very good actors is what makes the commercials funny. All the Sports Center commercials are really funny.

It was intentionally supposed to be awkward, so it made him not look like a quality actor.

I know. That's what gives my little quip an ironic twist.

They should have just told him to be himself and follow the script, but it looked like he was trying to act and follow the script, so it was less convincing than it could have been. I would have directed him differently, but I'm very particular like that.

I think he was spot on. I'm pretty sure they did this more than once, and prepped him to look good.

Have u guys seen the ESPN SportsCenter commercial with Sharapova? I like the fact that ESPN is paying a little more attention to tennis nowadays.

Well, some people are more discerning than others. A nice attempt, but not spot on. Call me a perfectionist.

I think it's good because I heard Brad Gilbert trying to sweat Federer about which basketball team was going to win some stupid playoff, and Federer tried to defer out of it in much the same way he does in the ad.

Haha, I get accused of this a lot. Can't help it.

Taking D-Bomb's point, I guess you can see the bad acting as part of the charm.
