She will switch to Big Bubba at AO too. The Prince she used was just a Bubba with Prince PJ anyway.
Thinner to 19mm like a Prestige Mid, YES.
But may not be a good thing to flex it lower than 65 RA unstrung.
-- See what happened to Prince EXO3 Graphite 93, turned a steel cast that users loves (at least all the POG fans), into a bamboo stick that they hate.
Besides catering the "old-timers", Wilson and Head need to be aware of the market of the younger competition-level folks that need something bigger than a 90, yet smaller than a stiffer 95 frame but as powerful.
He wont be using that wilson now, he's injured again. Same knee, may need surgery this time...
That really bites.....has two good weeks then.......surprised that it seems he is just now going to see a "specialist" - its clear after 4 months of rest if it comes back its more than just tendinitis.
would you have preferred "98 10 chars"?
Maybe...but that's why companies have various sticks and different lines - to cater to different players.
He might have played his last match on tour(coach said) against Simon unfortunately:cry:
9 months off
Wow, I was really looking forward to seeing him play well again. :/
Not done yet
Tennis needs players with personality like in the old days
I agree. Say what you will about Monfils, but he is one of the more entertaining players to watch.
Source ! Pictures !
Gamma Big Bubba Razr will change the game. Dr. Ivo + Big Bubba = total devastation.
Do you have any more info on this- I do not speak French, but do not hear the word 'Asics' mentioned!
It's a joke...they resigned with Prince weeks ago.
Monfils in his Asics using Wilson
me likey! the asics gear looks sweet! monfils needs something flashy!
So... Is that really the new blade or a PJ?
Pj looks like h19 to me
It's the new Blade 98 ......you can look up some past images from this week and back in Oct and you can see the shape of the head and the transition at the throat.
Naah man It's not new blade it's h19 painted like one funny thing is its the throat that gives it up, it's easy to spot once you see both up close h19 has more of a y throat ala prestige and blade has more of a v throat
His opponent today on the other hand (brands) is using a new blade
There is no way that racquet is a blade or even wilson, you can tell by looking at the head shape.
Interesting: Brands switched from [K] Pro Open (100sq in) to Blade 98 - did anyone notice that ?
Monfils with Wilson and Asics looks really cool! That shirt is awesome !
But I guess la monf sweats a lot in his new apparel
Agreed...To me it looks like he went back to Head with a Wilson PJ??
Ahhh newbies...@cknobman and @babolat king
if you guys know what h19 looks like you would not be writing silly posts like that
Please...the soap box is yours, impress us with your knowledge of racquet molds, since our opinions are silly.
You could always try the search function but Wilson H19 mold is a copy of Prestige MP.
Please write more since you haven't embarrassed yourself already here...
Monfils Ad for Asics
How come he is still using Prince here?
Sorry here's the link
Im sorry? I cant post opinions of what we think a racquet looks like or may be? Just because you have more post doesnt give you entitlement to belittle another posters opinion.
Because AD was made before his new contract with Wilson.
Ok so it looks like it could be a H19 mold.
But still my opinion was not silly because a. its most definitely not a blade, and b. while it could be made by wilson at its base the racquet is a copied head mold.
Dont worry about it; its all speculation anyway. Some posters act like know it alls and its pretty annoying sometimes.
Seems to me you are the one acting like you know it all...
I already told you -- stop before you embarrass yourself even more...
Ok, you win.
What are Monfils' specs?
Also is his stick a Prestige or a Wilson copy?(h19)
It's an H19 - 4 5/8 grip with leather - I had two that he gave our son.......I posted awhile back in another thread pictures and the exact specs off an RDC machine.
Love the Blade line. My kid has a Blade 26, which weighs a hefty 9.4oz strung. Don't think there's a heavier 26-in racket these days. The ball comes off his racket flatter and heavier than from his APD 26.
Can you post the link for the thread, or the specs...
320g unstrung - no lead, no silicone (no sure exactly how much lead he adds under the bumper).
I added silicone and when strung ends up at 342g and 9pts HL
