She had a horriffic day today. She was just off. But she managed to play really well down 4-5 in the 2nd set, all the way to a 3-0 lead and eventually up 5-3 and serving for the set. After that was a castatrophe. I guess she'll need a few more matches to get back into full stride. You could tell she was scared to hit out on the ball today....Oh well, regardless of today's performance, I will always stand by Venus and have the upmost confidence for her. I guess Federer isn't the only one having the blues this week. Time will tell how good she'll do on upcoming clay (her weakest surface), but surely she'll gain her reputation back on grass and faster hard courts. This may be a possible motivation for Ole' Venus.

    Gah Venus

Venus looks in the abyss, there's nothing staring back at her. At that moment, Venus finds her character. And that is what keeps her out of the abyss. That is why I prefer to see Venus lose rather than Serena win a match.
    To dream the impossible dream,
    To fight the unbeatable foe,
To run where the brave dare not go,
    To reach the unreachable star.
And the world will be better for this.
