Both of these machines are obsolete in todays terms. However, either of them would handle standard racquets with no problems. Where you might have trouble is with oversized racquets or frames with fan shaped string patterns. Winn is out of business, so I'd lean toward the Gamma machine. It looks like there might be some parts missing on the Winn machine(second glide bar, for instance).

:p Go for the Gamma - it's a steal under $500!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would but I just bought a drop weight that suits my 4 stick stringing per month but the Gamma would save me 1/2 hr per job. As noted the Winn is AS IS which looks lacking in essentials.

I wouldn't go over $300 on the Gamma because it's a glide bar machine and wil probably not be able to handle all racquets.

The winn one looks like a weapon of mass destruction.

Winn is definitely missing some pieces on the 6-point mounting system. Gamma is ok. I wouldn't go past what is already bid.

I agree with the assesments. I have a Gamma 4004 in the store room, so the machine in question looks quite familiar. I'm not crazy about the mounting system on the Gamma. However, the Gamma will work well if you're not going to be doing a lot of outsized frames and fan patterned stuff.

$300 max for the Gamma. No on the Winn.
