I have a basic Gamma dropweight stringer (I think its called the X-Stringer). I got the string into my racket with the appropriate lengths for mains and crosses. I wound the string around this circle sort of thing on the side (sorry if this is not making much sense). What the circle thing is is you wrap the string around and there is a trench sort of thing on the side that you put the rest of the string through. You drop the weight then and it tensions the string. Up to this point it was fine, but I can't get the string out of the circle thing without raising the dropweight and losing all my tension. How do I keep the string tensioned and get the rest of the string out? Also, when do I raise the dropweight bar after I have gotten tension in the string? If this was not clear (and I doubt it was clear at all), just ask what you need clarified and I will do my best to get it cleared up.
