I have a fairly new machine gamma with a crank. It just started to slip. right as the tension head starts to flex prior to locking out it (the clutch maybe) slips and continues to crank. So right before it locks i feel a little slip in the crank and then it continues to keep cranking not locking out.

How would I remedy this situation.

    Thanks

Sounds like your gripper I'd dirty

EDIT: Or you have the adjustment screw on the back of the gripper turned too far in not allowing the gripper plates to close completely on the string.

It was a little loose and that may of been the culprit however, in trouble shooting I pulled the cowl off and now when it locks out the little arm that trips the lockout hits the plastic cowling and the machine does not lock. not sure what I just did but it will trip and not lock now

Can't help you I would send an email to Gamma Tech unless you can see what is stopping the arm from moving all the way

I figured it out thanks I loosened the back side of the crank in trying to get the cowling off
