Just looking at the draws and I'm pulling for both Gaudio and Canas to make it to the Quarters of Rome. Am I dreaming...A penny for your thoughts?

Gaudio is in Fed's half, so he could only play Canas in the final (not likely either of these guys makes it that far). I'm actually hoping for a JCF-Canas QF, with JC winning of course.

Gaudio needs to beat Roddick and Andreev or Chela to get to the quarters. Canas needs to beat Simon & Robredo to get to the quarters. Both of them have a decent chance of getting to the quartes.

Oh, I thought you were pulling for both to meet each other in the QF. Never mind my post then.

I think Roddick will be Gaudio in straight sets.

Can I get in on that bet? I'm for Gaudio -considering this will probably be his last year.

gaudio is in a low right now, like roddick was last year, but if gaudio gets hsi head straight, he might even give roger and rafael some heat, i mena he did beat coria back when coria was awesome.

Gaudio in the QF would be a miracle. I think Cañas can reach at least the SF, it also depends if Robredo starts playing better than he´s been doing.

Should be an interesting match - the worst clay court player on the tour (now that Rusedski has retired) against the ex-champ with no confidence.

    Gaudio should prevail.

Not sure about that, roddick did make the quarters last year on clay and got injured... Worst claycourters i would've thought were the likes of blake, ljubo & Karlovic... I know ljubo did well at RG last year but i think that was a fluke that won't be repeated...

    Oscar and Pleepers!!!!

DROP AND GIVE ME 25!!!! And none of those girly pushups that you usually do with your knees on the ground.

    1...2...3..."straighten that back"..4...5..."nose to the ground"...6...7...HAHAH!!

Ljubicic also made the Monte Carlo semis and he's made the Hamburg semis a couple years back. And I think he's done OK on clay during Davis Cup. Besides, he likes clay. He enjoys playing on it and actually looks like a good clay-courter. I don't see Roddick pushing Gasquet on clay. However, Roddick has had his share of decent results on clay. So has Blake, beating Almagro is no small feat. Karlovic has victories over Davydenko on clay. His kick serve really jumps on the surface. I would say the worst players on clay are Vince Spadea and Mardy Fish.

wrong about Spadea and clay,he's actually the best american player on clay and by clay I don't mean the green crap they use in Houston but the real clay:D
if Spadea had a weak draw at any clay court tournament in the world I would bet $ he would go home with the trophy :D
as for Fish can't make a definitive conclusion on him since I've rarely seen him play on red clay but from what I've seen he reminds me of a male Davenport on clay, scary

I can't believe my Argentinian contingency (I don't care much for Chela) has let me down...ON CLAY :-(

Granite Chief -how about Acasuso over Berdych?

OK, tripple on Fed v Volandri!!

And i would definitely pick Berdych for the win.

Just kidding, i already know the results, but i would definitely have bet on Fed and pretty for sure on Berdych.

Rome has not treated my picks well at all. I can't believe the one Argentinian I don't care much for (Chela) has gone through to the quarters. Maybe I'll have more luck for the French?

I'll do the 50 pushups first thing tomorrow
