    Hello,

I was wondering what kind of racquet Gaston Gaudio uses? Is it an extended racquet? I know that Gaston has one of the most prettiest and lethal backhands. However if he is using a extended racquet how does he do it so well? As I have heard extended racquets "hurt" a player with a one hand backhand. Thanks in advance

ollie rocchis at 5'4 uses a really long racquet...henin hardenne uses a slightly longer frame, etc...for people with lesser stroke production longer frames and one handed backhands can be problematic healthwise and controlwise..dont think 1/4" matters so much however

As long as the strokes are long loose and fluid, than it isn't a problem even on misshits. NoBadMojo says it best.... people who complain of problems and injury with the one-hander have horrible technique, old-granny swings, abrupt-takebacks-swing, muscling their shoulders and arm is a good recipe for tennis elbow within a few shots.
