I see that all users have something under the user name - mine is new user other say hall of fame or pro or rookie. What does that mean? How do people move up?

Can I use that as a judgement call to make a deal with someone to trade, buy, or sell?

    Number of posts determine title.

For selling, trading its tricky, you can check if the person has referrals in the referral forum section, but there are always risks. Of course, the chances of being scammed are greater from a new poster as opposed to an old poster with thousands of posts.

From the TTW FAQ (stickied at the top of this subforum):
    http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showpost.php?p=2639300&postcount=3

Post count means next to nothing when it comes to trading. if you're interested in reputation and protecting yourself, there is a Sticky with FAQs, etc, in the FS/T subforum:
    http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=217121
That should get you started, cliff's notes are: check references, and post history. Get delivery confirmation/signature confirmation if you want paypal to protect you.
