I last strung racquets about 23 or so years ago when I played raquetball. I had an Ektelon H right after it came out I believe. Now my son is going to start high school tennis and the bug has hit me again. I had just a couple of questions before buying a machine since I sold the Ektelon years ago.

The Neos is almost identical to the Ektelon H except I seem to remember there were short glides for the crosses and long glides for the mains. I would just go into it and buy the Neos except I saw the Gamma 6004. I noticed some videos on the clamps where it seemed much easier on the Gamma than the glides on the Neos. Can someone compare the glide bars to the clamping method on the Gamma? I think it was Yulitle I saw stringing on the Gamma.

I am by no means an expert even when I was stringing and if I could ask one more question please. I just noticed the six point system or most six point systems are cheaper that 2 mount systems. I would have thought it would be the other way around. Why is that?

I hope to order in the next couple of days so I am only interested in the Prince Neos and the Gamma 6004. That way I can get in some stringing over the summer and then string for the kids on the team next school year. I'm not doing it for profit but the next four years should keep me busy enough. Thanks for any replies.

Shoot, I just saw a thread a couple posts down talking about the Neos vs. Gamma. I don't know if it answers or compares the clamping systems on each but I'll start reading it.

The other thread pretty well answered my questions. I've decided to go with the Neos as I'm familiar with it also. Thanks for the link.
