It's really difficult to tell simply by looking at the color. Many types of strings come in different colors (Wilson Sensation and Reaction come in red, but I doubt he'd be using such low-end strings). Any inside sources have information about it?

Imo, it has to be a solid core syn gut, because no poly comes in red, that I know of.

The racquet is a Head LM Prestige and the string is some sort of Tecnifibre. His stencil indicates that he is sponsored by both.

Tecnifibre. Yeah. Nice rich red on the redcode. Cool name. Wonder how it plays. Anyone know?

Remember their old "515" and "Answer"?
The 515 came in a cool red. When you prestretched it and strung it up it would look sort of orange-ish. I dug it, but some people thought it was weak.

Gicquel gave us an entertaining match today, huh? Justified that wildcard.

Yeah, a poly! Thanks. Let me see if I can post this link:

    http://i6.****img.com/05/i/06/e1/e9/b6_1_b.JPG

Edit: Well, replace the aterisks with e-b-a-y, without the dashes... Item number: 7245994615... It says: "This is the best polyester string on the market - it retains tension better than any string of its kind & is extremely comfortable to play with. If you're looking for a string that will give you better control, check this out. It is similar to Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power - although most feedback I have heard from customers has said that Pro Redcode is even better. As used by many top players on tour."... Wow!

I already played with the TF Pro RedCode. It's very fast for a poly and has a very good control. Brilliamt poly to me. But unfortunately they only make it in 1,25 and 1,30 mm up to now. I prefer a 1,20 mm poly for my cross strings.
Gicquel until now used the Spinfire Maxipower as it was indicated at the TF homepage. So this should be the new Pro RedCode.
But TF also makes the X-One in red. Vliegen sometimes uses it in this color.
