I bought a pack of lead tape from a tennis and golf store. THe tape, however, was meant for golf clubs, but I'm very sure it works for tennis racquets too. DOes anyone know the weight of these 1/2 inch wide tapes? Is it the same as the Gamma lead tape as in every 1 inch = 1/2 gram?

It is tape, or individual adhesive weights? What I've seen in golf stores are packages of individual adhesive weights that weigh 3 grams each. Of course, they're fine for tennis, too. I use them. It beats several layers of lead.

There's also adhesive magnet strips, which you can cut to your desired length. They're about 1/2 inch wide, and significantly heavier than lead tape. Should be available in art supply stores, etc.
