This is a different Fed from what we saw last year on clay. Gonzo took him to 3 sets last year. This year Fed is The Demolishion Man. If he plays like this tomorrow than it will be interesting. Very interesting...

well, im not watching the match, but fed always plays like he doesnt swet or making too much effort. thats just the way he is. so every single time is like he is playing his best tennis ever.

game set match Federer wins 6:2 6:4
    could've been 6:3 in the 2nd, but he blew 2 mp's on Gonzo's serve
edit: lol both the Fed-Cup match and Fed's match finished at the exact same time ;)

Fed has how tied JMac's 1984 record of 12 finals in the row and he is back to over 7000 ranking points!

Win or lose tomorrow, he will still be by far #1 player this year. He is doing better than he did in 2005 and in 2005 he was doing better than he did in 2004 etc. Basically the rest of the tour is not cathing up but rather still falling farther behing.

The record is 18 straight by Lendl '81-'82.
Mac's 12 straight from '83 to '84 includes the World Team Cup. I love Mac, but that shouldn't count in this finals streak.

I think that Lendl streak will not be broken.I disagree 8paq, i think tomorrow's match is huge for Roger, seriously u dont wanna go 1-4.Also he needs that confidence for clay.

I know it will be huge. Fed is playing close to his clay court best and Nadal is not quite there yet. So if Fed can't beat or at least take Nadal to 5 sets than I don't know if Fed will ever beat Nadal on clay.

Having said all that. I think Fed will win in 3 or 4 in worst case :D
