I've tried pronating in my first serve but i just can't get the serve in consistently. So lately I've been hitting a sort of flat kick serve (more powerful kick serve) as my first serve. I get it in consistently now but it is not as fast as my flat serve (pronation serve which is inconsistent). Is this a good first serve or should I start experimenting with my serve again?

I'd do that flat kick serve during matches, but keep working on the regular flat serve until you get a nice percentage.

What is a flat kick serve? A flat serve that doesn't kick or a kick serve that goes flat? I'm confused.

a flat kicks serve is pretty much a serve that has a good amount of spin where it goes inside the service box consisitently but does not "kick" as much.

Do you mean like a topspin serve?

One of the previous posters' advice was good: Use the consistent serve in matches while you work on your flat serve.
