I've been looking for tech schools with good tenis programs but all I can find is tennessee tech and georgia tech. I don't care what division the school is in I would just like to know if there are many around me.(I'm in chattanooga, TN)

Does the college have to have the word Tech in the name, or just have a good engineering school? I suspect the latter would make more sense.

    Any particular engineering major planned?

A place called "Stevens" in the NY area-
    1. Trades technical classes with NYU
    2. Tennis team looks like more "enjoyable" and seems like the kind that if you got a crushing schedule, or in a jam in a class, they would cut you some slack.

Purdue has a great engineering program and are about average for Big Ten tennis (which is still pretty good).

Stanford is pretty good. :) MIT's tennis team sucks. :) Georgia is a lot better than Georgia Tech.

ya I know georgia's good. My coach played for them and had an undefeated season. His name is Wes Cash and he plays senior davis cup for the U.S.

New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is a Division 1 program and their men went 11-6 in 2008-09, probably the best combination of tennis and academics of any school in the northeast.

I had never heard of this school previously but they tried to recruit my son, academically they look pretty sound and I guess they are looking for players so you might want to check them out.

lol no. word of advice: DONT GO TO JERSEY.

mit does have horrible sports(i think they are D3, but good tech academics)
if you have the grades go for it.

some schools off the top of my head: cornell, rice, vt, gt, purdue, illinois.

not sure how they are tennis wise, but a good assortment of different academic levels

Yeah, they're a good team. I hit with their coach often, as he works at a club about 20 yards from my house that I belong to. His name is Mike, he's a great guy.

Stevens is good from what I hear, a buddy of mine is going to go play there next year, and he's damned good too, played some ITFs back in the day.

he said decent tennis programs. not schools like alaska tech.

^^^btw cal tech has by far one of the worst sport teams in the country. there was an article in espn on how half the basketball team never played in high school.

    CASE WESTERN.
A degree above, and a school you (might) even be able to play for.

Seriously, I go here for CS, the tennis is great, CS building is great, even the club tennis has some 4.5-5.0 players (and over 100 members)
