Gosen OG-Sheep Micro and what?

I am planning on buying a set of Gosen OG-Sheep Micro because of everyone raving about it on tennis talk. I would most likely put the Gosen OG-Sheep Micro in the cross. What poly are you guys putting in the mains? What is the most popular poly to hybrid with Gosen OG-Sheep Micro? Could you post your experiences with the string?

Thanks

I'm currently using Luxilon Big Banger in the mains (16g). I love the feel that Gosen OG Sheep Micro gives me; the Lux BB and OG Sheep Micro compliment each other beautifully in a hybrid. I play with a MG Prestige Midplus strung between 56 and 59lbs.

Good luck!

i just strung blackcode mains at 58lbs and x-1 biphase crosses at 62lbs. Will probably hit tuesday. Can't wait. I found that when i used redcode mains at 54lbs and x-1 at 57lbs balls were flying out or into the net. So therefore i tried increasing the tension. We'll see how it goes. I used to always play at 60lbs with SPPP and sensations

I just ordered red code and x-1. I have kirsch pro line II at 58lbs on my k90. Should I go higher with red code and x-1?

Try what I have in my signature... It's a perfect blend of feel, spin, and power. Plus it sounds like a cannon when you hit the ball! None of these lame "shhhap" or "shhh" or "ping" sounds...

I like low-tension polyester strings ;) I was using polys at 50 indoors but the ball doesn't fly as much outdoors, plus cyberflash is already fairly stiff relative to the 17L gauge.

How's that play? I'm purchasing cyber flash 1.25 and i'm doing your set-up on my rad pro but with different tension of course.

I'm actually really liking it so far. I have only been using it for a few days but it plays well, definitely give it a try! I was surprised by how well the two strings blended considering the Gosen is in the mains.

think that great a difference might not be healthy for the frame.

Well, I would not do it with the same type of string. However, 1. Gosen loses tension quickly anyways and 2. Cyberflash is much stiffer on its own. So I don't think it's that bad for the frame.

You can also argue for, 3. the k90 is pretty much a two-by-four compared to other frames, and is unlikely to warp ;)

EDIT: Note that I string my own rackets so I can try stupid setups like this that I may or may not end up liking!

your mains are at the lower end (tension) so might not be too hazardous. have read that something around 5 lb difference is max recommended differential.
