For Petes sake I posted pictures within 15 minutes of my original post with a webcam...give me some time, I'll make sure to make an appointment with Olan Mill's for a portrait session.

    Seles RD7 Paint Job

    Hey mjwtpro1

Where did you get it from ??

I was lucky to get 2 brand new ones. I believe they were used for a photoshoot and Seles had hit with them..

Just wondering if you would like to sell it ??

    Andrew

Sorry to go off-topic a bit but, as Seles' frame is the bigger version (I presume?) anyone know anything at all about the RQ-260 mid?... just wondering what ppl thought of this, pros, cons, etc... can hardly find any info on this rack (one I picked up supposedly belonged to Aaron Krickstein once).

    Thanks,

    R.

Its is not from Seles! Thats one a the rackets that was used by Martina Navratilova in 1993 and 1994.

Monica has never played with the racquet that looks like the one you took pictures of.

First off Yonex paintjobbed her RQ 380 to an RD 7 prior to her stabbing in Hamburg. If you look at the photo releases for the new Fila apparell for that year in the pics Seles is using an RQ 380 with an RD-7 paintjob, which is what this racquet is. Seles was supposed to premiere the RD-7 at the French that year as it release was 93. Yonex gave Martina an RD-7 paintjob on her RQ 18O same year later in the season. The Racquet I received is strung with technifibre 515 and is now in the 70 lbs. range which would account for tension loss and my friend Ricardo from Bollitieris grabbed a few from Monica after a pre-comeback hitting session where surprise...she was using a Super RQ 500 paintjob on her RQ 380 and did not need the old RD-7 paintjob, so 2 handed forehand edjumacate youself.

    Hi Mjwtpro1,
What you just stated was correct. I have a couple of pics of Monica from that shoot. I was lucky enough to grab 2 of them !! I was wondering if you could send me some detailed pics of your frame as mine just state "Yonex, Made in Japan"
My email address is "adar601278@hotmail.com" Once you send yours I'll reply back with mine.. Andrew

sure mine has a sticker that says 01394 on the butt cap. Give me a day or two. I took off the yellow overgrip as it was really pretty disentegrated.

Hey Ross, I played the RQ260 for a time. It was a semi-widebody. The tip was regular width and it widened from there to the bottom "shoulder" of the hoop to its widest point. After that, it began to narrow again. It was considered the lower end of the players' wide boy frames that Yonex made. The off-white (pearl) frame that Navratilova used was their flagship at this time.

From what I remember the RQ260, like all Yonex frames, was a very nice hit. It was comfortable and precise at net and served well. I also remember this racquet as being very spin friendly and weighted really well, not too heavy not too light, just about right.

Thanks for great info Rabbit. Yes, it definitely had a heck of a lot going for it judging by the brief hit I had a few months back... very soft, very stable, top quality imo!...

Off-topic... had a hit with the C10 Pro yesterday... I still just love the feel, balance, way of lining up behind the ball... such a good frame!... if I could find just a bit more power from a full multi job or soft poly job (I've been endeavoring to look up string/tension tips earlier), it could def be a proper contender for me... hmm...:)
