In their matches, I think Federer usually has the better shots in isolation but Nadal always comes up with insane ways to end rallies.

I really don't think we'll ever see a better match up in our lifetime, they're just so different.

    Yes.

I remember watching that point that posted live. That was the point that broke Agassi and he was mentally done.

So many of Federer faves have already been mentioned, so I'll go with the following that hasn't -- the first point and the last -- both incredible shots that still have not lost their luster in my mind despite the passage of time:

    Relax folks, ...
'Roger must've had trouble holding his huge balls in place back then... The nerve on him... Insane'

The ending to that match was absolutely ridiculous, well and truly.

I've only skimmed the last two pages so apologies if this has been posted already, but here's a point from the 2011 Wimbledon Boys Singles Final between Luke Saville and Liam Broady:

    Click!

There've been better points posted in this thread, but I like this one because it's a glimpse of what these two could do. Not just in terms of physical or technical ability, but the willingness of both to fight so hard for such an important point.

And it was also just a bloody great point :)

    there are many great points.
but from all the suggestions here it's obvious that some of them are not as great as others.
can someone maybe write down some 'rules' for a GPOAT? :)
should there be a perfect mix of game quality + drama?
    other variations?
i mean, above there's the Roddick jump at Memphis.. it's hardly a GPOAT imo.
but the Djoko Murray tweener+dropper is far more fit for great point. greatest? i'm not sure.

Have to agree there was like 5 winners hit in that point...amazing defense...changing of pace/depth

and Rafa sticking it to both corners without yielding to the fact everything was coming back...and to end with a DTL winner :)

Amazing rally between the two. Loved the USopen final last year, even though it was a 4 setter, the points were absolutely brutal!

For many Murray fans (and many Brits due to the time zone difference it was like 2AM over here :)) it must have been the most satisfying point of all time (so far), after all the losses in previous GS finals (esp. Wimbledon, the highs and lows during this 5-setter with Novak, this must have been great to see.

it was tough seeing nadal lose but there was some great moments in this match like this one, the defence from both guys (in some parts of the match) was great

I like that point very much.
Here is one of my favorites. Those were times where Roger's defensive abilities and his speed was just amazing:
