Who is the greatest postmodern poster posting polls on these Boards?
Oh, the humility!
Better question: was Chopin french or polish?
A most interesting question! Both and neither.
Beethoven or Debussy
Waht the **** is this thread?
Successful troll is successful.
Like most of the things Americans call "French", Chopin was non-French.
Wow. Chopin voted on his own poll and is, so far, the only person to do so.
And at that, only once. There are three Chopins sitting there without a single vote. How this legend allows his good name to sit there thrice, cold naked, without a vote next to it, I don't know.
It's no wonder Club Chopin collapsed under the weight of its own expectations.
Bach. Followed by Beethoven and Mozart.
Chopin does not figure in my top 10.
btw, can't wait to see what dedan's posts here, if he does..... *hint*
I think he logged in as another user and voted for himself again.
Blatant self promotion.
You mean most infamous and narcissistic right?
What's wrong with Chopin number 3. No one voted for him yet.
Cut of your ear and you will be the other painter, whatever his name is. Van Gogh?
Interesting poll choices, Chopin old boy.
With nothing to promote.
Well, at least this thread prompted me to check out Chopin in wikipedia and i read the section Final Year which was interesting. One line:
At least that Chopin had good taste !
looked at the Wiki page on him you posted. Seems he has a far less eloquent speaking tone than the poster here
here's what he said of his last will
^^ Also, interesting tidbit about having his heart taken out and buried -- i don't know if that's a common thing in the West. Perhaps reading that wiki article is a better use of time than reading this thread
I can do more coke than you can Chopin
whats more you are a greater postmodern poster than Chopin.
Great thread. 5 stars in spirit.
i think i have an idea. what about...from now on any thread Chopin starts we just dont reply to. let it just drop to the 16th page in however many days it takes and leave it at that. he's just being an absolute attention *****. best to ignore him.
^^ okay we stop posting here now. this is it. last post.
END OF THREAD.
Yeah, good luck with that. Some of you guys can't take a joke! Gosh.
Chopin was a somewhat snobbish dandy who wasn't above expressions of Romantic yearning and angst:
"A strange adventure befell me while I was playing my Sonata in B flat minor before some English friends. I had played the Allegro and the Scherzo more or less correctly. I was about to attack the March when suddenly I saw arising from the body of my piano those cursed creatures which had appeared to me one lugubrious night at the Chartreuse. I had to leave for one instant to pull myself together after which I continued without saying anything."
"The earth is suffocating... As this cough will choke me, I implore you to have my body opened, so that I may not be buried alive."
"I tell my piano the things I used to tell you."
One things for sure, we're both a hell of a lot more eloquent than you, my boy.
Who are the other seven?
Attempted eloquence is but a sense of insecurity to prove superiority and elite logic when in fact none exists. Natural eloquence is arrogance. Calm eloquence is pure luck.
Or something like that.
stopping posting now.
Your sentences don't make sense. Tell me if you want me to help you out with your writing, kiddo.
Not sure. Biggest asshole? You, by a landslide.
What about soy mozzarella cheese toasts? Great with very cold white wine when appropriate glassware is used!
who farted?
It's that accursed duck sitting in the corner.
I can think of a few more interesting Chopin-related polls:
* From which psychological disorders is Chopin currently suffering?
* Chopin is currently taking what medications?
* If Chopin wasn't a psychotic attention prostitute, what productive activities would he undertake?
Apparently, this was too much to ask for. We get what we deserve.
Chopin 1 - 0 Talk Tennis
That's the score for this thread, which is a small win for Chopin, but the overall tally is something like this:
I rise, and I do so in the East.
Mile or landslide? Let's be precise here.
Did chopin invent chopsticks for piano?
No, he did not.
Guys, think of this thread as a prelude to one of my Masterpieces.
Surely he did, it even has "chop" in it just like his name!
That must be the most f**king annoying song in the world
This comment is so full of win.
This thread is another win for Club Chopin. I encourage you all to read the Masterclass I recently gave though:
