I'm watching the IRL Pocono race and the lead driver is Will Power!

He could trump his own name if he has a child and names him Horse:twisted:!

    Any other nominees???

There's a young American tennis player named Jack Sock.

I was always mildly amazed to hear the name of a famous NASCAR driver, Dick Trickle, mentioned. He died recently, RIP.

Sadly, the Trickle death was due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Family members state his last few years were filled with severe pain, which may have led up to his suicide.

As to Sock, hopefully no children will be named "Ankle" or "Crew".

There was a guy who played pro (American) football named Randall McDaniel. Also former NY Ranger (pro hockey) Jeff Bukebum (not sure of the spelling but pronounced "Boo-ka-boom").

There was an offensive lineman that played for both Notre Dame and the Dallas Cowboys named Glen Titensor.

    Yes, it was pronounced "Tight-en-sore."

How'd you like to be Mrs. Titensor....? ;)

The funniest one I've ever seen was a German soccer player named Harry Koch.

The coolest one was Darius Kasperaitis, who played hockey for the Islanders.

    From college football:

Lam, Ham and Jam Jones - although those were assigned by the head coach.

    I.M. Hipp

and my favorite of all time - Houston Nutt was at Arkansas. He was debating starting quarterbacks for a game against South Carolina's Gamecocks. The headline - please don't ban me Mods - was....

Nutt chooses Dick over Johnson against 'Cocks.

    It is true.....

    Slightly off topic -

My sister went to school with a girl named Penny Nichols. I'm not making this up - her middle name was/is Diamond. Say the full name a couple of times.

Know a guy - he showed the yearbook - who went to school with a guy named Richard Blower.

I went to school with: James Bond, Jimmy Stewart, and Elizabeth Taylor.....

If Andy and Brooklyn ever have a son, I beg them not to name him Lance. That would create undue pressure on the young man to pursue a career in pornographic acting:twisted:!

It did indeed! Hockey has to have the best names in sport. The Finnish players have the tongue-twisters, then the 'normal' ones all sound like they should be lumberjacks or something. Johnny Boychuk, the latest Islander Cal Clutterbuck etc.. You pretty much have to be born with an amazing name before they let you in the League :)

There have been a lot of pros named Boozer, for instance Emerson Boozer, running back with the New York Jets in the 1960s. I remember my Dad hearing his name called and saying "I wouldn't have a boozer on my team!"
