I am thinking about buying a used second racquet of the same kind that I already have. My midsize Head ti radical from a few years ago has two numbers stamped on the end of the grip. I understand the 4 1/2 but I am unclear what the second number, 4, stands for.

    Thanks

hey welcome to the boards, Libertarian! The '4' is another way of saying what grip size the racquet is - Grip size 2, 3, 4, 5 correspond to 4 1/4, 4 3/8, 4 1/2 4 5/8 respectively.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. What exactly do each of those figures measure anyway? Circumference in inch? So with that in mind the shape of the grip will have some impact, right?
