I currently play with a PDGT, in a 5/8th grip. It was a little large, so I put a Prince resi thin on it, problem solved. I am about to purchase another PDGT, and was just wondering if I should go with a 1/2, or get another 5/8th and change the grip again. The big question is, if I get the 1/2, and leave it as is, will I notice a difference in play from my 5/8th with the thinner grip?

I also use a 5/8 gip and when demoing a 1/2 grip I do notice the difference.

Many demos are 1/2 so if there 's a store nearby see if you cn demo the smaller grip.

Unfortunately, at my local shop all the demo's are 3/8's, some with overgrips. But thats not the same. The difference is what scares me, I want my stick as similar as possible.

I 'technically' would take a 4 5/8 grip,.....but then i found when i tried to add overgrips it was TOO big,...i started getting my sticks in 4 1/2 grip size,....then added Overgrips as i saw fit,....problem solved,......(and even before the OG,....4 1/2 was still comfortable...)[IMG]

I would say get the 1/2 and put an OG. SOmething really tacky and increase the overlay if need be.

Purchased my second PDGT today (blue this time instead of the 135th red), ended up taking good advice and going with the 1/2 grip =)

If it were me, I'd get the 4 5/8 and make the same modification as you did on your first frame. Especially if you are satisfied with it.

.....or sell your first frame and get two in 4 1/2 grip size.

If I have the choice I try to keep it the same.

Personally, I'm with VGP, for ease of modifications to achieve the same result in each stick.

That being said, each person notices these differences to a different degree. It might get in my head and bug me to no end, but you may not notice at all.

Sometimes it's simply the perceived effect taking place imo. You may have the benefit of being less of a head case than I ;-)
