I have a racquet that has flared ends on some of the grommets. The ends seems to be bigger than the actual hole. Is there a correct way to install the flared ends without mangling the grommet? Can anyone out there help me?

I believe that's how new Babolat racquets are (they used to be at least). There would be a few grommets that were designed for tie-offs that would be flared out. This is done after installing the grommets. Basically a new grommet strip should be pretty much straight grommets, no flared ends, you install it like normal. If you want the flared ends then you simply heat the grommet a little and basically mold it to have that flared end. Usually once you heat the grommet you can just use an awl, or pretty much anything to flare out the end of the grommet.
