    Hello,

Does anyone have any tips on generating consistent rhythm and timing in hitting ground strokes? Especially on racquet take back and back swing.

    Thanks in advance

If you move to the ball with both hands on the racket in front of your torso (stalking)
then you have the racket in a good spot to begin the backswing and the second
    hand helps a little too.
If you separate the hands as the ball is coming down to bounce, then
you can use that to adjust the loop of your backswing to have good timing.

    Thanks 5263

So the racquet is back as the ball bounces and you start the dropping of the racquet to the forward motion at the bounce of the ball? Does that mean my back swing speed varies depending on where the ball bounces? I am thinking if the ball is closer to me then I would have to speed up my swing as opposed if it's farther away. I was under the impression you want to have same speed on the back the swing?

Some would say the racket is back, but it is only partly back due to the shld turn to face the ball and the racket in front of that back shoulder.

Yes, use the loop speed to adjust for situation.
