OK, folks, since the Racquet Stringers Symposium is coming up pretty soon here, anyone want to discuss it? My understanding it that this things is a "first-of-its-kind" event, and therefore basically unprecedented in the racquet stringing world. Here's the link for the symposium details on the Grand Slam Stringers site: GSS Racquet Stringers Symposium (New Braunfels, Texas, April 1-4, 2007) In brief, the GSS description on the site says: "This first ever event will showcase a group of some of the most knowledgeable and experienced racquet technicians and industry professionals tennis has to offer." Since I'm in the Houston, Texas area, this thing is going to be happening only about 3 hours away from me, so I'm seriously trying to get my work schedule in order to be able to attend. I've spoken to Tim Strawn (the event developer/leader) and it really sounds like it could end up being something very special. Anyone else here thinking about attending?
