OK, so I am going to put some of the Babolat 16 gauge gut string I have, in my PS 85. Normally I use Gosen JC 16 at 24 kgs, and think that the powerlevel is about right. It is the first time I do this. Do I need to prestretch, or can I just let it settle in? What tension would you suggest? About 26 kgs? And by the way, does anyone know what gauge and tension Federer was using in his PS 85? Thank you

Increase the tension for sure...I like gut 3-5 lbs tighter than syn gut. I never pre-stretch but some do....Fed used VS 130 and tension around 26kg in his PS85.

Thanx for a quick and usefull answer! Wow, 130 VS touch is exactly what I have, and 26kg what I was going to aim for. Great that I as an 47 year old 3½ something can model myself after the young Federer, lol!

Gosen JC is a fine string--one with quite a stiff feel too, though. I'd either add in a full five lbs. or pre-stretch and add just two then.
