I like Maria Sharapova as much as the rest of you, but really! Unofficial count of pics posted of her celebrating match point from all views and holding the trophy, again from all possible views was 38. 38 posts and unfortunately reposts! Really?
Hey it's news item. What do you expect? It just so happens that new/fresh pics tend to be prioritized here (although some guys like Chmee like to post the oldies). So be patient cuz the Shazza-overload is temporary - it will pass, mk?

They're aging very gracefully. They're not going to look 15 forever. Heck, they look better than some of the 'roid freaks and horse faces who show up so frequently in this thread.

i'd take the horse faces :)

Age is a ***** aint it. I remember when those two were young.
Well then if you really remember you would have noticed that nothing has changed for one of the two (she was notoriously grannyish even back then ;)

Not always been a fan of Sharapova, from her media-mogul/fashionplate self-construct to her fairly choreographed and not-always sincere post-match celebrations. But this time, she looked like she really meant it, having had her career threatened by injury and having been in danger of being passed by younger, healthier, and hungrier players and having to fight harder than before to scratch out a win (although her draw was pretty favorable as well). So well done to her.

A bit similar to Agassi's carreer no? I mean... It all started really big and flashy, making him a star before he won anything, really. They were both BIG prospects, specially for sponsors, but they've had to really prove themselves as players and champions after the great big hype.

Props to her, she's won all GS, she's in an elite group and she's been contending and winning GS's for 8 years now.

Petko looks like Jennifer Capriati with those bangs. Hingis looks good, Lindsay D-is starting to look like a man. :(

In some ways they're definitely similar. Sharapova hit fairly soon, though--Agassi had a bit of a wander in the desert before his first Slam (three Slam runner-ups, and he was the favorite in all three matches), whereas Sharapova won in her first final. (I was going to say that Agassi dropped out of the Top 100 at the nadir of his career and Sharapova didn't, before checking and seeing that Sharapova actually fell to 126 or so. So they absolutely had more in common than I thought).

I wonder if Sharapova's ever used drugs, though. :)

I can't believe you recognize Kafelnikov:) I knew he gained a ton of weight from other photos but definitely would not have noticed him here without your post.

Anastasia Myskina still turns heads after three kids.. Here she is at a charity event in Halle with Martina Navratilova, Michael Stich and her doubles partner Stefan Edberg.

So who are the best of all? I pick Ivanovic and Petkovic (1st). Too bad there's not any Brazilian or Colombian women. If there volleyball players are an indication it will be pleasant viewing.
