Tommy was 100% Asics today in Cincy
Western & Southern Open, Cincinnati 2012
Maybe he read our posts and felt some kind of responsibility...
btw. this is why I love ATP Masters Series 1000 tournaments and majors...

In today's episode of What is Tommy Wearing this time?
Nike shirts and shorts, Asics shoes. I think the socks are also Asics. So Tommy gets a contract with Asics and loses it because he wore his nikes too often, and now he's choosing to wear Asics. He kills me, crazy hot German.
Today, Haas started with a Nike shirt but then changed a few times during the match to a few different Ascis shirts and to a different Nike shirt.
I saw 3 Nike shirts and 1 Asics shirt, but I stopped watching during sets 3 and 4 while I was away from the computer. And he had different sleeve sponsors on his shirts but they were so small I couldn't see who they were.
Idk if i was seeing things but wasn't he wearing Joma when he lost?
Took some pics of Tommy when he GCOATed the Asics crew.
The blue one with the yellow stripe on one side? That was an Asics shirt. With a nike cap and shorts. I love Tommy.
So he's still not getting paid...
Maybe we can get @suresh to go on a Hunger Strike until Nike or Asics signs him for what he wants...
Apparently he likes the Asics shoes, that's the only constant this year. But why sign him? I'm sure both Nike and Asics will take the free promotions. He thinks he's working one company against the other to sign him, but in truth neither really mind the current situation.
Must be my eyes failing me. I mean he's back in the top 25 I can't believe Nike hasn't resigned him (I guess they havent had much reason too yet). Think about how long James Blake was able to hold onto his nike sponsorship, even when he was essentially doing nothing and fading into obscurity.
LOL, I thought of this same phrase while watching today.
Oh my, I am pictured, a distant blip, in this photograph, which means I was in the same sphere as Poap Dali. Honored and humbled.
I think Nike kept James because he fit into a niche that they wanted to market to and they didn't have a "top American" player at the time. But he wasn't performing so they let him go and he went to Fila for a while.
Asics just signed Jan-Michael at the end of June, right before Team Tennis. You would think they could easily sign Tommy, but he's burned them once so why would they take the chance again?
Haas just said after his match tonight against Djokovic in Miami that he does NOT have a clothing contract. So I guess those Nike shirts that he's been wearing he either buys himself or maybe gets some freebies from Nike or some distributor.
He has those yellow "Tennis-Point" stickers on his shirts. That's a German tennis retailer, so I guess they provide all his clothing, shoes, bags and other stuff.
But he does have a Head contract, right?
he should wear plain solid t shirts.. or unbranded stuff...
You think that would look better on him, right?
- Seems to me that he just doesn't care about how he looks on the court. And I say that's a valid statement to me.
Is anyone else liking the Haas fashion? Just a t-shirt and some shorts, all business and no flashy sponsor clothing.
looks like one of us! even has a single handed backhand!
he said after playing djokovic he doesnt have a clothing contract thats why he dresses that way. kind of surprising for a player ranked 18th in the world
on one hand its surprising but on the other hand i guess giving him a clothing contract isnt going to help a company sell more shirts... and he is 35..
FEE is quite right, Tommy has been changing shirts, clothing for years.
he is a difficult 1 because he wears what he likes, changes as to how he feels.
Tommy was always impulsive.
He has been faithful to his Head frame for quite a while & has had Roman working on his sticks. vsbabolat can be your authority here.
Happy for Hasi, a good Hamburger!
Well, I guess you can say that about everyone outside of the Top 4.
I like Tommy's look out there, looks regular guy like, black socks, colroful Asics, basic simple Nike shirt and shorts, nike cap. The simple look is cool actually for a pro, you see some guys at the public park dressed up like it's a show court match in a major on live TV. Always been a fan of one color shorts and shirt.
Didn't Haas try his hand at his own clothing company about five years ago? Can't remember the name of it but it didn't last long.
I'm LOVING it. I may start going fanboy and rock black socks with whites shoes.
Yup, same here.
Yes, he did. I believe it was called "Limited Sports". But I think the stuff was only sold in Germany. I thought the clothes looked really sharp and colorful. Too bad it didn't last and never expanded overseas.
Love the basic look. My "style" is very similar: black or white shorts, plain tee, and colorful shoes.
I just got a pair of the black/green asics GR4's that Haas is wearing. Any other pro who wears this shoe? I don't buy just because a pro endorses a particular product but more because of style and performance. I know a few Fed/Nadal fans who buy every iteration and colorway of the Vapor/Courtballistec, haha.
I'm all over the map when it comes to apparel/shoes. Whatever looks good and is on sale! I normally just wear a plain white New Balance shirt and random athletic shorts.
I didn't know about it until I saw him wearing it while I was watching the SAP Open final. They looked awesome so I did some research on TT and picked up a pair.
This guy's number 15 in the world and doesn't have a clothing sponsorship. And last night vs. Nole he was wearing a purple shirt and bright blue hat...
Limited Sports is not, or ever was, Haas' company and in fact they are still in business. Their stuff can be bought at tennisOpoint and in Europe. During a time after his 1st Nike days when he was between contracts he wore shirts he had made up that said 'Hasi' on the chest, which is his nickname.
Rumor is that no clothing sponsor want to sign him because of his age! A lot of recreational tennis players start around his age now(35); so I not sure what the powers to be are thinking here? Why not have a tour player that is the same age as the recreational players push your clothes? I am missing it all - with the logic and rational thinking behind it all! Hass is 18th in the rankings too! Probably will hit 15 if he wins against Ferrer!
During that time, I think someone here mentioned that Haas was a major investor in the company. In any case, he was the one modeling all the clothes on the Limited Sports website, and was the only one I saw wearing the brand on the pro tour. He only wore the brand for about a year or so though so I guess people assumed that the company folded.
Do any of these rumors include what kind of a deal - # of years and $$$$ - Haas expects to get? Do you really think Haas is big enough to move product? Or that this comeback will have any consistency where he'll be in the last 3 rounds week after week? I'm doubtful.
He just picked the wrong time to make this final push; the tennis apparel industry is in a retrenching mode - a lot of players have gotten dropped (or made offers that they clearly didn't meet their expectations).
Limited was 06-07.
KSwiss picked him up for the start of 2008.
By 09 he was wearing Nike shoes. Probably why Kswiss dropped him.
where can I buy Haasy's Nike t-shirts? Plain white and lilac?
These are GOAT t-shirts!
I think that he has a Nike running top based on the color. Look at Runners Warehouse. The white T was I thought a Legends top. Also check TW Europe for the shirt
I think its the Advantage UV crew. Its on sale at most european shops.
He's wearing the Advantage UV crews they are part of the go tennis line...in the USA they are selling the Atomic Teal, Volt, White, Dark Blue (or whatever the hell Nike calls navy blue), orange-red and Black........the Lavender and Light Blue sold in Europe.
Nope the Advantage UV Tennis line - sold everywhere
Tommy Haas is part of the TENNISPOINT clothing deal. There are 100 Players (Male, Female, Seniors, Kids) who are part of this project and benefit of private sponsors who put money into this POT.
Tommy is No.1 and receives all the clothing from TENNISPOINT (equal to Tenniswarehouse in the USA). So he can choose whatever he wants. He even can mix Nike and Adidas.
Yea German outfit - seen the ads on EuroSport as well.......think they are an "official supplier" to them........cool idea.
he was wearing a teal color at Indian Wells. that one was kinda neat.
is he playing a hybrid string job now? looks like black cross string.
Nice gear, less is more!
He is just trying to hide his hotness. That's all.
