Since when? Nike's dropping players again?
She was playing terrible, and Nike has a thing for dropping players who don't play like gods.
She had a bad foot injury last fall and have been coming back ever since, that explained her dip in ranking. But she has been around in terms of a lot of racket sponsors; Yonex, Babolat and now Prince. That’s why the move from Adidas doesn't surprise me much.
She could wear Stella line ...
Apperently that line is by selection only, Maria Kirilenko and as of the US Open Wozniaki is the only players wearing that line.
not loyal eh?
Actually, Stella dropped Kirilenko (who is now wearing the Adidas competition line) in lieu of CWoz.
I didn't know that she was dropped, I knew she was hand selected by Stella to wear the line. Then again, she hasn't had that much of a career, so the Wozniaki move makes more sense.
I would love for Hantuchova to somehow win the US Open now.
Hantuchova has a better chance of being a runway model than she does at winning a major. Heck I have a better chance at winning the Mega Millions lotto than she does at winning a major. Adidas is just adding on people like it's a quest to claim the market share of the pros. Nike at least prefers players with results.
Of course, which is why I qualified the statement with "somehow".
I don't know, but Nike suits her better... :?
Nike suits everyone better. Adidas make really boring, dated tennis clothing.
I disagree. Daniela still looks great, but then she'd look great in pretty much anything. (some would say, or even nothing)
