This is a huge fail. Louisiana is the dirtiest shthole I have ever been to. I dont know how people could have been happy there even before the hurricane. After Katrina its in the high forties. Top 3 should be:

    1. California
    2. Colorado
    3. Florida

Well, to be honest, CT doesn't really offer much, does it? Look at the cities; New London is run-down and broke beyond all doubt, Hartford is a sh*thole (used to live there), New Haven is in shambles, Bridgeport is the worst place on earth, and Stamford (if you can call it a city) is just worthless. Why would anyone living in our state be happy? It's dry, dull and boring, and the weather sucks. Nothing ever happens, aside from Fairfield Country, everyone is broke, and Fairfield County absolutely sucks the big one, because it's just one big bubble that nobody ever leaves. I mean, I've lived here most of my life and I hate it to pieces. Doesn't mean I won't defend where I'm from, it's just that I hate it.

No I agree with you but you owe it to yourself to find out what else is out there. Maybe when you get older you might find yourself, God forbids, coming back lol. Hartford for example has gotten better but would I exchange it for Jersey? No. It doesn't mean that if you live here, you have to be one of the miserable ones. I love CT, despite its shortcomings. Other states will have pros and cons, just like anything else. Ok it matters where you live to some degree but wherever you are , just try to be one of the happy ones.

Garbage in, garbage out. This is data from a random digit phone survey, so if you are a person who is at home all day, answers incoming numbers that you don't recognize and have the free time to take a government survey, then perhaps you can take the data as valid, if not... don't worry, be happy.

Louisiana is probably the happiest state right now. They love the Saints with a passion and if the Saints are 13-0 they are happy. But this was done before all this so I dont trust it.

I lived in Hawaii for 3 years and most of the peolpe I knew were not happy either. Its locals who arent happy that outsiders are there and that Hawaii is a state to begin with then there is the outsiders who are not happy that the locals are not happy with them.

I dont support this list :0

it doesn't really surprise me that connecticut is one of the last states . . . we have one of the highest income discrepancies in the country, lots of corruption, the rich get richer and the poor poorer every day. plus a lot of the extremely wealthy have lost a lot in the past year. whatever, i still love my city, even though it doesn't always make me "happy" to live here, and there are a lot of things we can work to change together

My state (Illinois) is 45.... makes sense considering we're the butt of a lot of political jokes.

I love living in Texas. We are very happy here. It feels like Texas is its own Country.
