hardest draw (seeded player) to win a GS

    This might be tricky....Pete's last slam comes to mind...I think he had to beat Rusedski, Haas, Roddick, Shalken and Andre, not extreme, but not easy...

    I believe Pete was seeded 16 or 17 at the time...

    Here are one example I can think of:

    Edberg 1992 U.S Open- dangerous floater Jakob Hlasek, a former top tenner, in the 2nd round. dangerous floater Jonas Svensson, a former slam semifinalist, in the 3rd round. 5 sets vs Richard Krajicek in the 4th round, 5 sets vs Ivan Lendl, 5 sets vs Michael Chang in the semis, 4 sets vs Pete Sampras in the final.
