Has anyone purchased an imitation Adidas/Nike tennis sneaker on purpose?

    Hey guys

I recently stumbled upon a site that sold imitation Barricade 7s and Nike tennis sneakers. They sell these at prices like $50-60 and was wondering what people's opinions of them were.

I assume that they would not have AS good support as the original would? I doubt that the sneaker would just collapse and come apart on the court, but there has to be something that truly makes them awful.

I thought about purchasing a pair out of curiosity, but I am using a new pair of 8s, and have a pair of warranty replaced 7s waiting for me when I have to send out my 8s. Too bad some of the colors look really bad and obviously fake looking.

Nope. I don't see why anyone would buy crappy fakes, especially when you can get the real deal for $80 or less on sale.

my issue would be the rubber on the outsoles, usually cheap shoes have cheap rubber so it would be ground down quickly.

yeah, when i was studying abroad in china, i bought some knock off nike b-ball shoes. they were no where close to the quality of real ones. the heel counter wasn't very rigid. it was cardboard and deformed easily. also the midsole was very hard and didn't provide any cushioning. the uppers provided very weak lateral support. also the rubber outersole wore down very easily. would never consider buying knock offs ever again because the quality is really subpar.

Same experience as mad dog... I wouldn't even suggest walking in these shoes, they look great but are horribly constructed.
