Watching the nearly four hour match between Ferrer and Murray today made me think about this. Murray seemed pretty tired as he walked of court. Has Ferrer ever ran out of gas during a match in his career? Do you think that he would have lasted longer on court than Murray? How is his fitness compared to Murray's?

I think Murray had way more mental and emotional investment today and that saps you.

Haha, sadly that's not a good comparison. Murray looks tired if he loses the first game of the match.

Down two sets to love? Forget it, my grandpa probably has more energy than he does.

I'm pretty sure Murray would have outlasted Ferrer today.

Yes, quite a few times actually.

He was burned out in the 3rd set against Djokovic at the AO.

Murray didn't look terribly exhausted after today, neither did Ferrer

I think Ferrer has a Huge heart. i mean huge like big muscles there. When they did the autopsy of Secretariot the horse, they saw that he had huge heart with huge muscles and it gave the horse tremendous advantage over other horses. I wonder if this is true of Ferrer ?
