I'm pretty sure no one has done this yet, but out of the few career slam winners there have ever been, has one of them won a different slam for each of their first four slams? That would be pretty incredible to not repeat win a slam until a player got to 5 slams...

    Andre Agassi

    Wimbledon- 1992
    US Open- 1994
    Aussie Open- 1995
    French Open- 1999

He then went on to win one more US Open title and three more Aussie Open titles.

I don't think so. Can anyone list the carrear slam winners, then we'll see.

WAIT, Agassi did it I think. Wimbledon 1992, US 1994, Aussie 1995, and French 99. Then he won US 1999, Aussie for 2000-2003, giving him his 8. Short search there. Anyone else done it?

Damn, I thought agassi had won more than one us open or aussie before he won roland garros, my bad. Thanks JRW, you are clearly on top of your info.

Multiple winners at the same slam

On a simliar note: Has any player won the same slam more than three times before he/she won another slam?

Becker did it at Wimbledon (85,86,89) before he won USO in 89. Kuerten har won RG three times, and no other slams so far. So he can make it four French without winning elsewhere.

    Andre did it.

If we count WTA, then Sharapova did too.

Not incredible because it entails getting beaten a lot of times.

I don't see what's so incredible about that...pretty meaningless if you ask me.
